Project Manager - Software Product Delivery

EIS, Inc. is US based company that provides consulting expertise for life science manufacturing focused on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Mobile apps, software development, automation systems, system integration and software validation.

EIS has developed a software solution called “OpsTrakker” which is a suite of mobile apps that focuses on specific use cases to provide high value manufacturing operations management functionality in a cost-effective manner.

OpsTrakker replaces paper records or spreadsheets with mobile apps and leverages real-time electronic data to improve manufacturing operations. Current solutions include electronic Equipment Use Logs, Global Equipment Status & Tracking, and Forms & Checklists.

EIS has established a Product Development group, which is responsible for building high value manufacturing operations management solutions around the emerging and transformational technologies of Mobility, Augmented and Mixed Reality, IIoT, etc. This group has a strong record of meeting high performance and quality standards while delivering complex global enterprise solutions that deliver real value. Our team possesses deep industry expertise, domain knowledge, software development lifecycle proficiency, and technology skill, gained through numerous prior successful experiences.

Our Opportunity

EIS, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Pune, India for managing OpsTrakker product delivery.

We're looking for a project manager, who is enthusiastic & passionate about delivering innovative software solutions, within agreed budget, timelines and of required quality. The candidate should have experience in managing product delivery in an agile environment. The role will require a high level of responsibility and ownership to drive development planning, risk mitigation, resource allocation, status tracking, reporting and delivery as per agreed schedule.

What you’ll do

Duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Manage the overall delivery of OpsTrakker product releases.
  • Gain complete understanding of the current functionality as well as EIS’ SDLC processes and procedures.
  • Develop plans, schedules, resource allocations for OpsTrakker planned releases, as per product development roadmap.
  • Deliver planned OpsTrakker releases.
  • Deliver required Hotfixes and Service Packs, which may have to be delivered in parallel.
  • Work with Business stakeholders for understanding of requirements, schedule expectations, team capabilities etc for planning of OpsTrakker releases.
  • Work with development team to review effort estimates, finalizing priorities, distribution of work and timelines for the releases.
  • Work closely with QA team to incorporate product verification, validation effort and timelines into overall product delivery schedule.
  • Track daily progress, provide status updates to all stakeholders on daily basis, highlight risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to achieve timely delivery.
  • Work closely with product management team in the US as well as local leadership to align, manage and deliver product roadmap deliverables.

What you must have:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area such as Computer Science, Engineering (MCA/BE/BTech)

Must Have Skills:

  • 12+ years of IT experience and at least 2 years of Software product/ application delivery management experience in an agile environment
  • Assertive and confident
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, risk mitigation, experience of managing projects on technologies such as: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ionic, Angular, Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST Web Services
  • Experience in tools like Jira, MS Projects

Desirable to have Skills:

  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • Prior Development experience leveraging CI/CD and DevOps principles
  • Problem solving capabilities and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization
